Spine Care Built on Judgment,
Not Trend

Spine care is guided by careful evaluation, clinical judgment, and evidence-based decision-making. Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Doherty, the approach emphasizes selecting appropriate treatment for each patient rather than routine intervention.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions does SpinefulLife treat?

Spine care focuses on conditions affecting the spine, including degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, scoliosis, spinal fractures, and chronic neck or back pain. Each case is evaluated individually to determine the most appropriate course of care.

Referrals from primary care physicians or specialists are welcome but not required. Patients may contact the office directly to request a consultation.
A second opinion consultation includes a detailed review of imaging, medical history, and any prior recommendations. The goal is to provide an independent assessment and help clarify appropriate treatment options.
Recovery timelines vary depending on the procedure and individual factors. Many patients return to light activity within one to three weeks, with full recovery typically taking several weeks to a few months.
Non-surgical treatment options are considered when appropriate and may include physical therapy, pain management, and lifestyle modification. Surgery is recommended only when clinically indicated.
